Early Childhood Program

The Early Childhood Program is for children ages 3 to 6 years old. This period of development is marked by the child's sensitivity to movement, language, repetition, and order. The didactic materials introduce key concepts concretely. The focus is on Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, math, language, sensorial, practical life, and the cultural areas (geography and the sciences).

2-Day and 4-Day Programs*

Each day provides the child with a 2½-hour morning work period, a vital component to the Montessori philosophy allowing the child to explore the environment and engage in material that piques their interest and serves to meet their developmental needs. Incorporated in the rest of the day is group interaction through prayer, lunch, recess, and large group activities along with another shorter work period. There will also be a short time of rest scheduled into each day to provide the child with an opportunity to rest and re-focus their mind and body. Each child will also attend a weekly 2-hour Catechesis of the Good Shepherd atrium session and Holy Mass once a month (twice a month for those enrolled in our 4-Day Program).

Friday Add-on Program*

Enrolling in the Friday Add-on Program will provide the child enrolled in our 2-Day Program with additional time in the Montessori environment further exploring math, language, sensorial, practical life, and the cultural areas.

* For sustainability each program option has enrollment requirements.  If requirements are not met, the option will not be offered.
